Here is a trick to reduce your food intake in a big way. Go and get some smaller plates using them for your breakfast, lunch and dinner instead of the regular large  plates. If you’d put less food on large plates, you would still perceive it as “less” food, and basically instruct your brain that you are ‘under eating’. When you put the same amount of food on the smaller plates, you’ll fool your brain into believing that you’re eating a lot of food.

It’s psychological and it really works!  You won’t feel the temptation to get an extra fill because you’ll think you’ve had enough - a full plate of food!
